  1. Well not only that, meat increases the synthesis of dopamine and blocks the synth of serotonin as only one of these 2 neurotransmitters can be synthesized at any one time. Dopamine is also responsible for adrenaline and other "strength" hormones such as testosterone. I find that eating meat brings the aggressive animal self out in me, its more noticable now that I'm "trying" to be vegan but its hard going being a meat eater all my 26 years of life! I had a meat eating day quite some time back now and my mother shouted at me for almost going through a red light when it was too late to stop and I slammed on the breaks and locked all 4 wheels up and I completely flipped out in a fit of rage I felt like I could have killed someone with my bare hands, dangerous! I've been so chilled out being vegan. I'm not sure if its yin-yang, serotonin-dopamine or acid-alkaline balancing but its definitely about balancing something. But yeah, I feel a big difference now physically and in mood when I do eat meat but its its a very male aggressive yang type effect. I've always been a bit of a hot headed aggressor but I don't like it, vegan is the way to go for world peace.
  2. Well I think the high meat/saturated fat diet is proven to increase testosterone and aggression, so this maybe why they put on more muscle than vegans. I'm a lot more chilled out on a 80% raw vegan diet and my arthritis feet pain has completely gone, it comes back for a few days if I drink alcohol and last time I got drunk when I was hungover I craved meat and had a meat eating day, I felt like crap and my feet pain was quite bad and it goes away when I start to alkalize my body when I'm back on the raw vegan life style.
  3. I've started noticing women are looking so much more attractive now that I've been eating the vegan life style. But also in a less perverted way, like I just think "hey she's quite sweet" and I see the cute attractive sexy side to women and look more at their faces and not that male dominant sex sex sex state of mind, though sex is incredible but I can look at an attractive woman and not feel lustful, more like hmmm she is sweet. Maybe something to do with my mood, meat makes people more aggressive as its very yang, while the vegan life style is a lot more yin (yin is the female essence of the spirit world (earth) while yang is the male power of the sun, stars and heavens) Yang has its uses as women find it attractive in men as they are the yin and the 2 complement each other, but too much yang kills the passion. Its good though, stops those unhealthy lustful feelings. I'm also a lot more outgoing and can now actually chat to attractive women without my social anxiety kicking in, I was very inward before.
  4. Does your blood PH have an impact on muscle growth and nitrogen retention? I've noticed that a lot of creatine supplements have magnesium and bicarb for better absorption but these are alkalizing minerals. Found this study. The Use of Dianabol as a Supplement http://www.muscletalk.co.uk/article-dianabol.aspx Calcium and potassium are also alkalizing minerals. It seems that blood PH has a great effect on muscle growth. High protein diets are very acidifying!
  5. Well I bought his latest book for 4 quid of amazon, brand new as well. This guy can't just be in it for the money!
  6. I'm interested in buying one of the books, but what one should I go for and whats the difference? I'm not an endurance athlete but I am looking to improve my overall health/fitness and put some good lean muscle strength on. I'm new to the vegan life style.
  7. @ Liberacion-Igualdad, Thanks for your advice. About animals eating other animals, I feed my kitten organic free range chicken meat on the bone because she thrives on it, as dropSoul said about the difference in intestines. My kitten would probably suffer malnutrition if I tried feeding her fruit and vegetables the same way humans suffer malnutrition when eating an all meat Atkins based diet. Humans can eat meat and survive very well on it for a short time, but my point was that WE don't kill the animals ourselves and that's whats wrong! And I doubt many of us would kill an animal for food if we had to do it ourselves. I have no choice but to feed my cat raw organic free range meat, its whats most natural for her. But turning vegan myself and still buying meat, is that so wrong?
  8. I have adopted a 7 month old cat and she has a 3rd grade heart humor. Her parents were most likely fed cooked processed foods, I've read this study (though I'm against any animal testing but it shows some truth). I've started feeding her raw free range organic chicken, took her a while to adjust but she loves it now. I love cats, but turning vegan myself and feeding my cat meat, is it against veganism? I just want the best for her, if she could go vegan then I'd put her on a vegan diet but cats are in no doubt meat eaters and they thrive on meat like humans thrive on fruits and veg. So it kinda feels odd becoming vegan but still buying chickens to feed my little loved cat. What do other vegans feed their pets?
  9. I've been almost 100% vegan (1 day I had meats (the meat day I turned into a raging monster and I fell out with my mother, not sure if it was anything to do with the meat, but I've been very chilled and calm being vegan used to be hot headed) and another day I had prawns) for 4 weeks and feeling great, I don't think its wrong to eat animals as other animals eat animals but what I think is wrong is the farming of animals and the very fact WE don't kill the animals ourselves, we by it in plastic packets in every corner shop which is pretty sick TBH. I'm doing well and feeling better than ever, but.... I'm having a severe meat craving!!!! What do I do?? Maybe I should just grab a veggie burger at MD's.
  10. B12 I get my B12 from picking my nose and eating it. Also don't wash the bugs off your organic veg.
  11. Piggy-banks, Jews, Hitler, Christians...... hmmmmmmmmm!!!
  12. Been 80% raw vegan for just over 3 weeks, lost 10lbs but gained strength and look much better. Was a meat eater before, I think the animal protein thing is a myth. Where do the other big vegan animals get their protein from? The cow eats grass and grows huge muscles. The human intestine was designed for extracting nutrients from plant based produce, not meat like cats and dog with short intestines. Just don't over cook and you'll get big being vegan. Calories don't mean shit to me, its quality nutrients in its most natural form that count, check my avatar.
