  1. I eat raw 90% of the time and still have a "pouch" around my middle. My son, who is a bodybuilder, blames it on my diet and age (47). I workout 5-6 days a week: lifting weights 3-4 days and doing cardio every day. I have a bad knee so I am limited on some of the leg exercises. I used to be a runner until the last year. I didn't have the "pouch" when I ran so I've been blaming it on the lack of cardio. What do you folks think?
  2. GO PENS!!! I'm originally from the Pittsburgh area so I'm for Pittsburgh all the way. So it's do or die tonight. I'm just glad they're home after the disaster Tues. night. So far so good tonight.
  3. As someone that has overdone it and ruined their knee by running too much. Do you have any alternate leg exercises? I can't do lunges or squats most days. My left thigh is more than an inch smaller than my right leg because of various surgeries and lack of being able to use my leg regularly to lift.
  4. I've been a vegetarian for 20+ years and vegan for 10 years. I've been a runner for most of my life but have developed a knee problem that now prevents me from running. I have always worked out but not to develop muscle. Now I would like to train and tone up my body that has become a little sluggish since I've stopped running. I also need to change my diet a little. I know I need to cut down on my carbs since I don't do as much cardio as I did. I still go to the gym every day to do some type of cardio but not the intensity of running. I lift 4-5 days a week. I am looking forward to this site for guidance in these areas.
