  1. Kind of a big deal if you ask me! http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h121/lovegenious/princefielderbaby.jpg
  2. The heavyweight champion of the NHL is going vegan: http://vegetarianstar.com/2009/05/14/georges-laraque-skating-towards-veganism/
  3. Spiders and black ants I'm cool with, but any other insect I do kill. If you don't you will get overrun with them. Also in my building, if you get them you have to report it, and they automatically send in pest control. Only if they are in my place of residence though. I won't kill a bug in nature. Unless their trying to get me.
  4. The thing that scares me is there are some very intelligent people who aren't as convinced this is completely safe. The fear is that according to all of what we know and theorize now is what we are relying on, and accepted science has been off before. And the LHC is all but guaranteed to shake up physics as we know it, and in this case a miscalculated theory could mean the end of it all.
  5. Not sure if anyone else here has heard of it, but it's probably the most important thing going on in the world today. http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=67q_2V6xOxE And here's a different take on it: http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=bQYXMqEwRxc (in the vid it says May 2008, but things changed since the video was made, and it will actually all go down on September 10th)
  6. Wow, had no idea about Tony Gonzalez. Also Raja Bell (SG for the Suns) is a veg. Now we just need a hockey player! Wish I had never quit.
  7. Someone needs to send this guy a Vegan Bodybuilding shirt ASAP! i'm sure that would shock a good lot of people in a good way.
  8. Sounded more like a threat to ensure he doesn't.
  9. This is wicked. Prince Fielder has an great chance at being something special, and if he were to do it as a veg that'd be awesome for the diet. He is also baseball royalty, and defeats the stereotypes that veggies are all skin and bone. I totally understand what he meant when he said that would be a bit much. It took me 12 years for my diet to evolve to where it is today. To expect someone to go straight from a cheeseburger diet to being vegan right away is a bit much. It takes time, and at least he is making an effort.
  10. Just saw this video on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUvjXQHt6QQ Diet: Nuts, beans, fruits and vegetables according to this video... Pretty interesting stuff, and he has his own fitness programs.
  11. The best thing to come out of the lockout; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_O6f23rf24 I fucking love hockey, and play twice a week... Habs are my team, go Habs! And I'd be into a fantasy league...
  12. Basketball is an amazing sport that works pretty much everything. It is also one of the funest sports to play and is very low maintenance. I remember reading somewhere that NBA player Mike James doesn't touch weights and that he built his physique by simply playing ball. And assumingly outstanding genes... http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h121/lovegenious/mjames.jpg
  13. A trio of articles on NFL QB Chris Simms, and his two passions in life outside of football. Helping at-risk kids and animals. http://www.buccaneers.com/news/newsdetail.aspx?newsid=5834 http://www.buccaneers.com/news/newsdetail.aspx?newsid=5825 http://www.buccaneers.com/news/newsdetail.aspx?newsid=5847
  14. It is exploitive to bees, that is true. Personally I don't really eat honey, but if I'm eating a sandwich and I find out there is honey in the bread, I'll still finish the sandwich. It's a bit of a boderline food in my mind, since my reasons for my diet are because I am against cruelty to animals, pro health and for environmental reasons, and I wouldn't call bee keeping cruel the way one calls any other farming of non-vegan food cruel(specifically local honey where I'm certain they don't kill off the bees), it's a sustainable food source as far as I can tell, and health wise one could do alot worse. Good to see a vegan from Scotland, that is where all of my ancesters are from!
