  1. Cycled 20k after work on Wednesday, ran 10k yesterday.
  2. As far as I know, no I've been active about 2 years ago, and just came back to this forum last week. I love an adventurous life that includes travelling as well. I've been living in the UK for 3 months, came back to Austria in December, but already feel like I need to get away again. I'll keep my boring job for some more months and then I want to visit the USA. And we'll see what happens after that What places have you lived in so far, Dylan?
  3. Ran the second 9k of my life today (Had to stop at traffic lights and took short breaks to get water from the drinking fountain, but ran it in about 58 minutes.) It wasn't easy because it was very hot today, but I got through it And I've decided to sign up for a 5k run in August this year, it's an animal rights run in Vienna I want to get a good result so I'm really focusing on running at the moment.
  4. good to see you're still around! And looking better than ever!
  5. So good to see you're still around, Baby Herc, spreading your positivity and awesomes sense of humour! My bucket list: - moving back to the country side (preferably with somebody else) - a job that's less stressful and less time-consuming - a bunch of friends who enjoy camping F'ck it list: - university degree - trying to make other people proud - looking for the one job that would make me happy and fulfilled, I doubt that any job could do that for me..
  6. Thanks Yes, it is silly to try and fit into those jeans, but keeps me motivated to see I've made progress already...
  7. Thanks! Yes, I wish I had never stopped, but I'm glad to be back to training now, hopefully I'll stick to it for more than a year this time around It will take some time to get to know all thew new people on this forum, and to get back into the conversations, but thanks for the welcome back!
  8. thanks! and another before/during: http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/4760/trousers16122011.jpg http://img88.imageshack.us/img88/2025/trousers06062012.jpg I want to get back to where I was 2 years ago (or fitter), almost there
  9. June 6th 2012: 3 sets of: 15 (each side) alternating curls 5 lateral raises 10 triceps extensions 10 dips 15 hammer curls 15 dumbbell kickbacks 15 shoulder shrugs 10 push ups
  10. Wow, I haven't been on this forum for a very long time. And gave up sports and eating healthy at some point, until I was back at 145 lbs. I finally got my motivation back and have been working hard on gaining strength and losing fat since December. I'm down to 130 lbs, would like to lose a bit more fat, but gain strength. In general I try not to care about the weight too much, as long as I'm feeling strong and keep the tummy roll under control My workout lately has been mostly running/jogging (ran 5.5 miles for the first time in my LIFE a couple of weeks ago That felt amazing!), inline skating, cycling and all kinds of gym classes. And the occasional push ups, pull ups and crunches. I want to get back into body weight exercises a bit more, and I'm thinking about doing something entirely new, maybe martial arts. 11. Well yes.. It is winter and I am still battling depression. But it was the same way during summer. And the summers and winters before. Seasons don't affect that. It's a sign of a mental illness? Well Depression is a mental illness so I guess I have several signs of mental illness. I've read The China Study and found a lot of useful information in it! It's not a new book to me.
  12. As I've said a few posts before: If my depression had to do with a Vitamin D deficiency, it should be gone during the summer, when I spend a lot of time outside. Also, I am taking Vitamin D in the winter together with my B12. I am aware of the risks of antidepressants. And yes, especially with the one I take, the risk for suicide within the first weeks of treatment with those under 25 is increased. But that's why I go to the psychiatrist regularly, and also have the opportunity to go there additionally whenever I feel the need to. I appreciate the information you've shared, but since I don't have seasonal depression, I don't see tanning as a possible solution.
  13. I appreciate the advice, but I'd rather not tan because of the risk of skin cancer
  14. I've been taking them for almost 3 weeks now. I'm slowly starting to feel more stable. I definitely don't want to take them forever, but I feel that it's necessary at the moment. I rather deal with some annoying side-effects, than risk my life.. So that's why I've decided to take them for now. I meditate as well! I wish you all the best, and keep up the fight
