  1. You are an inspiration! I've been reading your posts for a long time. I have no doubt that you'll be back at it in no time. Take care, and don't rush it. Sending positive energy your way..
  2. Wow! I'm a slacker! I haven't been here in a long time! Life has been crazy! Anyway, I've lost 3 pounds since here last, but I'm stuck again. I'm still getting my workouts in. Trying to get at least 5 hours/week doing mostly HIIT cardio and circuit training. I think I just need to watch the calories. This time of year I fell like I'm always drinking. Hey, I love a good beer, what can I say?! So, food for last couple of days- 12/20-coffee with silk nog (another temptation this time of year) sprouted bread veggie sammy tofu scramble (tofu, broccoli, spinach, onion, peppers, carrots, yams) bits of "meatloaf" on greens for an interesting salad seitan tacos uno cerveza 12/21-coffee sammy wrap on ww tortilla ("meatloaf" greens, tomato) apple airpopped popcorn z-bar 15 almonds another sammy (time to go food shopping) Tattoo today! Getting some work done on my new sleeve in Denver. Anytime I go down there I have to go to the Watercourse to eat! Awesome veg restaurant! If you're ever in the Denver area, I highly recommend it!
  3. So, I'm 42 yr old, female, vegan X 7 yrs. I've lost 30 pounds over the last year and a half. Now, the big plateau. I really want to get the scale going down again. I'm 5'3, 150 pounds (not for long). I'm really pretty strong and have been training with weights for years. I want to maintain strength and lose this extra weight. I usually do circuit-type workouts with no rest between sets(with varying weights/reps to keep things fresh) 3-4 times per week. I do cardio (usually HIT)3-4 times per week. Obviously sometimes I workout twice in a day. 11/29-10 minute cardio warm up DB incline bench 35# X 12,8 then 25# X 10 Db OHP 20# X 8,8,6 Tricep pull downs 60# X 12,12,10 Lat pulls 60# X 18, 15, 10 (need more weight) EZ bar bi curls 20# X 12,12,10 3 sets of 30 squats (no weight) alternating with curlups X 20 and planks finish with 15 minutes on the stairmaster Food-Oatmeal/1/2 banana/ 1/2 cup almond milk Homemade veggie stew green salad/balsamic sammy-sprouted barley bread /vegenaise/tomato/lettuce z-bar seitan tacos Roughly 1200 cals
  4. Thanks guys! Yeah, there are beautiful trails in the mountains here. But, even the foothills here are just awesome. And there are so many within walking distance of my house! I think I will start a journal here. I keep track of everything now, but here there would be feedback. And some accountability.
  5. I've been lurking here for ages. I've been vegetarian for 17 years, vegan for 7ish years. For me it's all about the animals, the rest is vegan gravy. I've been lifting for ages, I'm pretty strong, but, I struggle with my weight. I've always hated cardio, which is maybe part of the problem. We moved from the mountains, into town about 1 1/2 years ago. Ironically, now that we're in town, I hike all the time, and love it. I've lost 30 pounds in that time. In the mountains I had to drive to get to a place to hike and now trails are within walking distance. I live in a beautiful place, I'm so lucky! But, I still struggle with weight and being a 40+ year old female, it's not gonna get any easier. I've been reading lobsteriffic and Marystella's (I'm in awe) journals and find them very inspirational. I'm an extrovert in real life, I feel a little shy here, though. Weird, huh? But, I look forward to posting more and getting some useful info and inspiration from all of you.
  6. I've been lurking on the board for a long time, now. This is my first post. WOOT! There's a great vegan store here in Denver. They're marketed as a shoe store, but carry all things vegan. Here's the website www.ahimsafootwear.com
