  1. Yeah I told the trainer I want to work on my upper thighs, the are pretty stick like now compared to the rest of my body lol I'm excited to get started. Chewy- Your thread was one of the first ones I saw on here and it was amazing! Super inspiring.
  2. Hey guys so this is only my second post ever but I wanted to go ahead and start a thread to keep a history of my progression. I've been to hot yoga a couple times and I start working with a personal trainer next monday, I though maybe I should just wait till I have been working out for a while so I can have after photos too but I would like to go a head and post my stats and pictures to keep me motivated. My stats are: 20 years old veggie for 10 years and now have been vegan for a year 5'10 135-138lbs Never done any serious training, just took up running last year but got sick and never picked it back up I dont smoke and rarely drink alcohol. My diet is pretty healthy, NO fast food, no deserts, nothing from the middles isles of the grocery store (i stick with the 'whole foods' section) I drink only filtered water, coconut water and kombucha, unsweetened almond milk for cereal or cooking, if i am desperate I might have a little juice but that is rare. I have been trying to have a salad for at least 1 of my meals every day,ive cut down on soy, I eat lots of fruits and some veggies, my normal diet is pretty snacky, i dont usually have 3 big meals i rather eat a bunch of smaller items throughout the day. I have cut back on carbs and the only bread i eat on a regular basis is Ezekiel Sprouted Grain bread, my proteins come from beans and quinoa and the occasional energy bar I eat. My goal is to look muscular, I want definition in my back, legs and stomach, there aren't many vegans around here so I want to show everyone that vegans can be strong and athletic. I have already lost nearly 50 lbs from my heaviest weight which was in middle school at 180lbs, I'm afraid that means my stomach wont tighten up the way I want it to but I guess we'll see. If I find a picture from then I'll post it if you guys promise not to laugh too much! I think thats it about me, if there is anything i missed let me know! Thanks! 3. Hey guys! My name is Callie, I'm from Nashville TN. I have been vegan for over a year and was vegetarian for 10 years before that. I'm proud to say I work at The Wild Cow, Nashvilles only all vegan restaurant (with vegetarian options) , its truely a fulfilling job knowing I am making a difference where vegetarianism is not common and veganism is a foreign concept to many. I met Robert Cheeke last week at a film screening held here where he was one of the panelist and found him inspiring, I picked up his book (even though i am not a bodybuilder by any means) read it and then joined this forum. I was to show people here that vegans are strong people inside and out and is there a better way of showing outer strength then by having big muscles? I haven't done anything athletic in a while, I was running several miles a night last year but then got sick and never picked it back up. Now I have started doing hot yoga and start working with a personal trainer next week. I am excited to document my progress and share my victories, difficulties and everything inbetween with you guys because I know you'll actually understand and motivate me to do better. Thank you! -Callie
