  1. Yes, I usually get random urges to go jogging at night, or really any time I can't. Not exactly 12am, but just as inconveniently.
  2. I am giving myself 3 months to get visible abs. I am already of lean stature. I am 5'6" and about 120lbs. Fairly lean to begin with. My diet is going to get a swift kick in the butt tomorrow. I have started running for cardio. What are some things that you all do to get your abs?

  5. I just recently started lacrosse training. 1 hour in the weight room and 1 hour cardio in a gym. Last year, conditioning kicked my butt! This year it has come a lot easier, something I credit to my diet switch to veganism. The first day I was pretty sore, but the next time I went, I wasn't sore. At all. I had upped the weights and pushed my self harder. I did more than I had previously and lifted more. I ran harder and faster. I don't know why I'm not sore. I have been going back to conditioning 3 times a week for two weeks (that is the only time we have it). Has this happened to anybody else? Why am I not sore?
  6. So, I am 5'6" 116lbs and around 17% body fat. I am not really "out of shape", but nowhere near where I would like to be. What are the most effective ab eorkouts with only body weight and dumbells, seeing as I do not have anythin else. All suggestions are appreciated! If possible, post picture of the results you hve gotten. (not required)
  7. Does anybody ever eat Yves' "Good Dogs"? They're one of my favorites. 50cal, 8grams protein, 1gram of fat. Anybody else eat anything like this? By the way, they don't taste like veg dogs, they really taste like hotdogs, and they aren't slimy like a lot of other veg dogs are.
  8. I usually do wall squats while brushing my teeth, it's simple to do and it's generally the same length of time, it's helped a bit, but I think I'm going to start with weights. My quads and hamstrings are in alright condition, I've always done sports so I've always been runnig for some reason or another, but I really want to develop them some more.
  9. Thanks for the tips, they helped. Today is my "off-day" from the gym, so I will take a look at those exercises and I totally agree that runners should strengthen their legs rather than ignore them for strenth training.
  10. Congrats on London, I have never run in a race before so I'm just not sure what to expect, I've been bumping my miles up, I have always been active but just recently got into runing as a sport by itsself. I figured I'd start with a 5k and work my way from there. Are there any particular ab routines or specific exercises that you find give the best results?
  11. Thanks for the link, I will start trying some of those out, have you done any of them? If so, what were the results like? And, somewhat off subject, have you ever done a marathon, or half-marathon, because I am considering doing one and I have no idea what to expect. I would obviously have to train more before I could do so, but out of curiosity.
  12. Thanks! I will definitely start the squats and I started weeding out the 'junk' foods in my diet. The running I've been doing has been helping also and I have noticed somewhat mre definition but, I think the squats will give better results.
  13. I am 5'7" and 119lbs, I run and swim, but would like to have more definition in my thighs, any suggestion for excercise?
  14. So, just recently within the last couple of weeks or so, I've made it back into the gym, I've been going every other day. I have discovered a new found love of running and cardio in general. I've also began lifting, but my main question is what are the best exercises for abs/core? All suggestions are welcome and will be considered. I know it's a bit of a cliche question, but I would love to know, haha.
  15. It's not necessarily that I have an aversion to the gym so much as it is I don't really have access to one at the moment. I recently purchased a set of weights in hopes that I will be able to use them in getting definition. I've been cleaning up my diet, too. I will have a look at those books.
