  1. Been CrossFitting for one year and I love it!!! Background is in running and soccer. The last month has been a little slow for me...with a move, starting a business and two kids (6yr and 1yr old) I've only been getting in a few WOD's (Workout of the Day) a week. However I've been working on my weaknesses very regularly at home; strength training with the Olympic and Power lifts and working on my Goats daily (the least forgiving/least favorite exercises of which I need much work) which are body weight movements like pushups, strict ring dips and Handstand Pushups. My goal is to maintain my spot on my gym's team and make it back to the NorthEast CrossFit Regionals this year...with consistent work over the next month and a half and cleaning up the diet just a hair I feel confident I can make a comeback from the little hiatus I've had over the last month. I have been Vegan for 4 years and at this point am mostly raw. Looking forward to journaling and learning from other vegan athletes!!! Female Age 34 Height- 5'10" Weight- 145# CrossFitting for 1 year. A few benchmark PR's. All done at Female Rx'd weight/skill.   2. Thanks everyone for your suggestions and help...I am definitely looking for weightlifting shoes. I have been wearing vibrams for three solid years now...I have 3 pairs and wear them everywhere for everything. I have been using my chucks for lifts and they are ok...but since trying on a pair of my friends (nonvegan)WL shoes for a lift...I am def sold on the weightlifting shoes...Thanks again for all of your suggestions and links
  3. Hi, I'm looking for vegan weightlifting shoes for women, that ship within the USA. I would be willing to try a men's shoe too. I contacted Nike about their Romaleos and they couldn't guarantee a fully synthetic shoe. Also, the Adidas Ironworks 2, don't think they make them anymore, i've tried ebay too. So with that, any suggestions???? Thank you for your help.
  4. Hi, My name is Heather. I have been strict Vegan for 3 1/2 years, of which included a 100% vegan pregnancy and birth of my now 11 month old healthy son. I maintained a high intensity 6-7 day a week workout regime, which included weightlifting. However, first experimented with Veganism about 15 years ago. Vegan For Life:) I have been CrossFitting for 8 months and am hooked and have even obtained my Level 1 CF Trainer certificate. I will be competing in my second CrossFit competition this weekend. Also, new to Triathlon and will be competing in my first Tri ever in Sept....a half iron:) This is an inspiring community!
