  1. Hi Fallen Horse I started with Cyanocobalamin and have continued with it. Initially I was injecting only once a month but that didn't get my values up. I deliver it intramuscular, usually in my thigh. I now do it every other week. I can't speak for digestibility. My injection goes directly into my muscle bypassing my digestive system, as I have no enzyme to assist me at that area. I used to get it at my doctors office, but that proved inconvenient. I now do it myself. It is actually very cheap, for a 3 month supply it costs me about 4 bucks.
  2. Hi Folks, I am one of those people who do not absorb B-12 from a supplement. Two years ago I was the foggy brained, fatigued gal who thought she was going through menopause. Nope after a few tests it was my B-12 level. I honestly thought I had done it to myself with my Vegan diet. Per my doc, that was incorrect. By the way I was taking a multi vitamin at the time. My Doctor gave me injections monthly, but that didn't bring my levels up. After some fiddling with timing, I now inject myself 1 cc every two weeks. Apparently most people have an enzyme that absorbs the b-12, I don't have that enzyme. After some talking to family members I was told my maternal grandma was given weekly b12 injections for the last few years of her life. B-12 is important, and some of us have to go the extra mile to stay healthy.
  3. Hi Jungle, I do use a protein powder, it is soy, hope to get a different one in the next week or two. But I do use veggie patties when I am at work, and I would say you may have it. Thanks I will eliminate them and see how the next few days go! Thanks, Pixietoes
  4. In previous years I used a macro nutrient type diet for keep my weight in check. I went vegan and it seems to be giving me problems. I have trouble reaching my normal daily goal of 120 grm protein for me while not exceeding my 120 grm of carb. I just started eating small meals and not watching the pro/fats/carb etc. Does a macro type program work for the vegan diet or should I do something else. I will say when I did eat animal products I did not have any water gain. With the Vegan program I tend to hold on to water like gold. Could I be doing something wrong? If you all have answers or can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. Oh I am female and weigh 113 at the moment.
  5. Hi, I hope I am not a complete idiot, but I needed to redu my password. The reactivation message said I could change it, after logging in with the temporary password, at my profile page. Been there, saw nothing. Searched FAQ, nothing to help there, checked user control and no nothing. Am I a bit stunted in my old age? Please I would love a bit of guidance. Thanks
  6. Hi Emma1488, Nice to meet you!
  7. Hi Everyone, I am 46, female, married with 2 kids in college. I am by the looks of me "fit". But I know I need to get in better shape for the years ahead. I have lifted since Rachel Mclish was in the spotlite. Yup I am old, but I never took it serious. I have been nearly Vegan for he last 4 years. So I want to pull the two togethger. By the way I am 5 feet tall and 113 lbs. Looking forward to learning a lot!
