Hi all. A quick hello. 52, 190lbs, vegetarian for 34 years, vegan for 14 and still benching 300lbs. Just moved to DC from France after 21 years there. It wasn't easy being vegan in France: difficult to find proteins, too many carbs, butter in everything and in restaurants, you wondered if they had gone to the back room to call the cops. In Belgium I actually got kicked out of a restaurant by a lady who refused to serve someone who did not appreciate her meat. Admittedly, being in DC now is great. Lots of great vegan products and restaurants. I'm loving it. I look forward to comparing notes with others who've been been on the same life journey.
