  1. Some people call them straight leg, or stiff leg. I always called them Romanian. Just to be clever!
  2. I really enjoy deadlifts. I think they might be my favorite move for mass. Last week I found some old pictures from when I first started lifting and it was incredible to see how much progress I have made. Deads have helped me get where I am now; along with including the other two of the "big three" in my routine. My leg day is definately the most intense for building mass. Squats and Romanian Deads in the same day. By the end of the workout I'm pretty much ready to collapse, but its worth it. I think keeping my reps at six to eight for the big three and doing standard body building moves with higher reps (8-10) is helping me build mass and stay lean at the same time. I think I will start including standard deads on my back day too, just to add more terror. Rock!!!
  3. Thought I'd share some pics of my tats. Its not even close to being done, but its finally coming along since I have a decent job! I figure, "why save for a future home when I can just buy tats?" http://img264.imageshack.us/img264/2439/hpim0397az8.jpg http://img261.imageshack.us/img261/354/hpim0406oz5.jpg http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/513/hpim0408tx3.jpg
  4. Rob, what are your current messurements? You're looking ripped as usual. Which is something I could work on, although I think I could still use a bit more mass. The pics are very Mens Fitness Magazine! Is there a thread where we can post pics of ourselves?
  5. I just started a fairly psychotic plan of 5 days. Mondays and Thursdays are chest, shoulders, tris; Tuesday and Fridays are back, rear delts and bis; Wednesdays are legs. The split upper body days allow me to sperate compound movements and isolation movements so as not to overly tire any one muscle group. So far I feel great doing this plan!
  6. I finally work at a place where I get paid vacations and would love to schedule a trip out west to see some friends who moved out there and come to this event! Keep it going!!
  7. I really avoid anything other than protein sups. I stick to soy, nuts and beans and never really saw a reason to put anything chemical based like that in me. From your avatar, I'd say you're doing just fine for mass! Remember, you just can't get as big as Ronnie Coleman or Jay Cutler without roids, its just not possible! In my humble opinion, its better to understand your body type and try to actualize its maximum potential through hard work and natural nutrition. Your liver will thank you. PS: Nice gains since November, that's rediculous!
  8. A Vegan child? That rules! I've been thinking quite a bit about the prospects of having children lately and what kind of diet I would use to raise them. That is very inspiring!
  9. Not quite a burrito, but still, very good in a wrap, which is like a tortilla I suppose... I made enough for three wraps and thats been my dinner the last two nights. I think I've had 3 or 4 burritos in a single day, no Vegan Rob, but someday...
  10. I'm right there with you man, 300 club here we come!!!
  11. It might help if you knew my last name is "Steele". People seem to enjoy finding nick-names for me, and I always enjoy them. Thanks for the warm greetings all!
  12. I eat about and average of 7 times a day. 3 of those times are suppliments, but the rest could be considered meals. Start the day with a cliff builder bar, at work I have oatmeal, between that and lunch I have a pb sandwich on whole wheat organic bread, lunch is sandwhich stuff or leftovers, another bar after that, protein shake after lifting, then dinner. I am trying to get away from pre-made stuff (frozen stuff) and make all my food. Unfortunately, with my hours (5am-1pm), its not always easy to make meals without some pre-made ingredients. The weekends get a bit lax, but thats just from laziness!
  13. Hello everyone. Been lifting for about 6 years. Been sXe for 7 years. Just became Vegan about 6 months ago. I lost a bit of weight and my lifts got a little lax for the first few months but both are gradually coming back . I'm 5'9" 168lbs. 1RM for bench: 255, squat: 315, deadlift: 405. I take in about 150-200 grams of protein a day. Eat 6-8 x a day. Actually since becoming vegan I have been paying much more attention to nutrition. Well I hope to learn a lot here, hope you are all successful in your adventures and plan on being here quite a bit!
