  1. I've spent the last few months mostly focusing on cardio in an effort to cut down on body fat but ended up just starting to dislike working out so now i am happily back to weights, however, am already noticing some improvement as I have managed to decrease my appetite and eat much healthier now. Also trying to do more running but running has always been one of those things I want to love but just don't, at least for long distances. So i am working on trying to run 3 times a week and slowly increase the distance. Also happy to say my one rep maxes for a lot of exercises have increased . I can bench 70kg, deadlift 110kg, and squat 100kg.
  2. Thank you! Things have been good. Been struggling as always to cut down a bit more but still working out and diet has improved. Spent a good while mostly focused on cardio but i find it so boring and unfulfilling that i finally decided to return my focus to lifting. i try to continue some cardio, especially jump roping but the change has remotivated me )
  3. Still working out and doing well . Have begun intermittent fasting, keeping track of my macros and jumping rope which are going well too.
  4. i also set up a body building com account http://bodyspace.bodybuilding.com/jlveggiegirl/
  5. finally managed a badly formed scorpion pose (picture flipping odly on phone :/ )
  6. Everything is great! still working out and currently dieting. i need to get back to updating: )
  7. ive always had the most insecurities and frustration involving my abs and they are still a work in progress.
  8. I can't stand when people say they love animals and yet they eat them. That seems completely hypocritical to me =P. What is really sad is how ignorant most people are about it. I actually really enjoy being vegan, i love the food i eat and i love living this way. I had a funny moment today at olive garden, there was a special mushroom ravioli dish thing and i asked the waitress if there was any cheese in it and she said no. When it arrived i tasted it and was insisting there was cheese but i always feel weird making requests and asking the waitresses to double check things so i had some family members try it and they all said it didnt taste like there was any cheese but i was SO sure! it really tasted like there was cheese! so i finally asked the waitress to ask the chef and double check and i saw the chef shake is head and she came back and confirmed that there was no cheese. That was when i realized i don't think i actually remember what cheese tastes like... XP. I just found it funny for some reason.
  9. Been quite a while since i have been on. Been a busy month . Finished highschool, and now currently in America and getting married in 3 weeks and then flying back to China to get a new apartment and puppy. Very excited for all the changes. My mom won't let me take my current baby/dog because she said she will be too sad without her but luckily she will be near by to visit . Not a lot of workout options this month as i will be staying at my grandparent's homes for the month sans gym options; however, been trying to keep up stretching and some body weight exercises so i don't lose too much. Thankfully just a month. When i get back i am looking forward to having more control over my diet and being able to control what food i have around the house. My fiance is not vegan so any junk food that may be around i wont eat anyways. Speaking of junk food i had my first taste of so delicious coconut milk chocolate icecream and it was AWESOME!!!! . Definetely going to make some coconut milk icecream when i go home hehe. I am using this time to plan out a good diet plan as well as my new work out to get any lost strength and muscle back. Big goal is to work on trimming down and toning everything as much as possible before october when i go to Thailand for honeymoon. So everything has been going wonderfully. Awesome profile pic btw mini forklift! looking good.
  10. I am currently visiting America and have seen or heard a few comments about veganism being stupid or useless and blah blah. And it made me curious what made other people decide to become vegan. I originally became vegan to lose some weight and get healthier and later researched what animals go through and now am a vegan because i don't support cruelty to innocent beings. I have seen a few people state that the animal is being killed whether or not they eat it. What do you think of that? Even if my not eating animal products was completely useless i just don't think i could ever go back to eating meat xP. i'm not doubting being a vegan or anything but was just curious why you all decided to become and stay vegan .
  11. Haven't been on here for a while but everything has been going well. I have changed my work out a bit to combine 2 or more exercises in a super set and I try to do 20 reps of each thing. I have also recently gotten a DDR mat for my xbox and have been playing that every day for cardio. I have noticed that I have held a lot less water than normal because of how much I sweat when playing so I am def. going to continue especially because it is so fun x). I would like to lose some more fat this month because May 6th I leave for America and June 1st I get married and then soon after will come back to China and not only would I like to look as good as possible when I go back to visit all my relatives but I will also most likely not have access to a gym for the month and a half that I am there so I want to do as much as I can before going.
  12. Wow that is amazing! I can't imagine every running that much haha. Good luck with your training
  13. Ya, if i wasn't really trying to build muscle i wouldn't bother with them. I never had any problems getting protein before as a vegan or vegetarian but they are a nice low calorie and convenient way for me to get a nice protein boost and i work out almost purely for vanity so it does help to be able to get a high amount of protein to support muscle growth while not consuming too many calories.
