  1. When you say "diet IS everything" - can you give a few tips on what you mean by that? I mean, obviously I know it means that you shouldn't eat junk food - but are there more specific "rules" around diet that you follow? Also, sex is totally cardio in bed. Haha. Thanks.
  2. Yeah, that's a good point. Thanks so much for your feedback!! Much appreciated.
  3. I have been vegan for 12 years, so eating this way isn't new to me. I've been wondering if maybe it's due to some sort of food allergy? Maybe a gluten intolerance?
  4. Hi ThePhytoAthlete, Thanks for responding! Yes, I do find that the bloating goes down in the mornings for myself as well. I just haven't had this problem with bloating before, and I can't quite put my finger on what might be causing it. Can you tell me a little more what you mean when you mention it may be the amount of water/fiber volume? Do you mean even if I'm consuming low calorie food, etc that the amount is too much? I do tend to drink a lot of liquids - water, decaf coffee, seltzer, (occasionally beer haha.) But I always have, so this isn't anything new. Thoughts? Thanks!
  5. Does anyone have any experience with stomach bloating? I'm finding that my stomach has been way more bloated than usual and I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with this and what you did to reduce this bloating and flatten your stomach again. Thanks.
  6. Thanks guys. I wouldn't say I'm new to training - I've been an athlete all my life. I do believe even though I'm drinking a lot of water during the workout, I'm not necessarily drinking enough water before the workout so I think I might be coming into the workout slightly dehydrated. And then maybe, even though I'm drinking water during the workout, it's not enough. I'm also going to play around with some of the food/glucose tablet suggestions. Thanks everyone!
  7. Wondering if anyone has any insight. Sometimes after I work out I am so shaky, it feels like my blood sugar is low (which is probably is) and I have this INTENSE hunger like I have to eat something immediately. It literally feels like I will pass out while walking to my car. The weird thing is - I can't seem to figure out what to eat before my workout to prevent this from happening, and sometimes when I've woken up and worked out first thing on an empty stomach, this feeling didn't happen. Any suggestions? Today right before my workout I had a banana and drank a TON of water during workout. Thanks!
  8. Baby Hercules - I love the idea of the mimosas! haha beforewisdom - this is by no means a 2 week quick fix. I have been hitting the gym and eating well. I realize I didn't make that clear in my message. This is the home stretch. Thanks for your feedback!
  9. If you had two weeks before an event like a wedding or a party at which you'd like to look as trim and tight as possible, what would you focus on during those two weeks leading up to it? Would you be doing mostly cardio? Weight training? What would your diet look like, etc? Looking forward to hearing your responses.
  10. Thanks for the tip about myfitnesspal. I will definitely check that out! When I say "show" I mean a play. I'm an actor.
  11. Thank you for your feedback! I'm not sure how many calories I now consume. I've never been a calorie counter and just eat intuitively according to what I feel I want/need. Do you recommend I start counting calories? I've never know how to do this for stuff like veggies and fruit that don't clearly tell you caloric details on packaging. Ha.
  12. Hahaha. By the way, I am not 1135 pounds, but 135. Haha. Typo.
  13. I'm an actor and I have a show mid-July that I'd like to look as best as possible for. I'm female, about 5'6" and currently probably about 1135 pounds, I'd like to get down to about 130. My goal is to be as trim and toned as possible by July (not super skinny - I have muscle definition and would like to continue working on that while also removing some extra fat that I don't want.) Any recommendations for the best type of workout plan for best results by July (that of course I'd like to maintain and expand upon) would be greatly appreciated. For example - how often do you suggest I do weights vs. cardio? Should I dedicate an entire day to cardio or is it good to do weights followed by 20 to 30 minutes of cardio on the same day? How many calories would someone of my weight most likely need to consume around to lose the weight in a healthy way while maintaining muscle tone? Really looking forward to your feedback. Much appreciated.
  14. I'm really appreciating your feedback, thank you! I don't want to do liposuction LOL so that's not an option. It seems like basically I just need to keep working out and eating right and eventually the weight will drop from the more stubborn areas.
