  1. I was a varsity sprinter in high school and so I have experience when it comes to training and what not. The key to becoming a good sprinter is all strength btw, squats, bench press and rows are all you need in the weight room along with actual sprints for practice. Don't be afraid to gain weight, as gaining muscle on a strict calorie controlled diet actually helped me get faster for the 100m. As for diet, sodium doesn't matter all that much, but make sure to at least get 100% rda recommended portion to replace lost sodium due to sweating through workouts. Particular food choices don't matter, try to get a vegan protein shake and purchase it in bulk to save money. True nutrition vegan brown rice (or pea/hemp/soy) is actually cheaper than meat/non vegan proteins and is complete as well. Get at minimum 20% of your calories from protein (or 1gm of protein per lb of bodyweight works as well if your heavier or eat more) and split up the rest of your diet however you'd like while making sure your sugar calories comprise less than 25% of your carbohydrate calories. Lol this list is awful (no hate), first off Usain Bolt being the fastest athlete in the world deserves some love, secondly Brian Clay should be on here considering he's the best decathlete and thirdly where's Michael Phelps? Clearly from an American point of view haha (full disclosure: I'm American as well)
