  1. Hey All! My name is Nicole and I've just moved to the DC Metro area. I'm searching for local plant-based people who would be interested in a free personal training session. I focus on weight loss, functional training, and am now experimenting with sandbags! I work at a luxury gym that is very popular in DC and they allow me to give 1 free session to each and every person I bring in. So I just wanted to reach out and see if there were any of YOU locals around! I also specialize in wellness coaching, behavior modification, and mental wellness. Contact me through here if you're interested! If not, check out my website: http://www.NicoleDavidsohn.com and sign up for my newsletter Thanks Fellow Veg-Heads!
  2. Hi! I'm a plant-based Certified Personal Trainer from NASM and Fitness Nutrition Specialist. I'd be HAPPY to help you with training and nutrition online. I can do skype calls, email help, text, or even facebook! Here is my website, and there is a contact page if you're interested! www.NicoleDavidsohn.com I can offer free or paid advice (through paypal).
  3. I don't understand why no one has mentioned Vega Sport Protein. It has 25grams of protein, 5gs (5000mg) BCAA, and tastes fantastic! Cheapest way to buy it is on amazon. And has anyone tried PlantFusion Protein? They just came out with a Cookies N' Cream flavor that I'm trying to find a sample of, or a even a review.
  4. It uses the free form amino acids like carbs, but without the calories. So your insulin does not spike, so you are getting the same effects of staying fasted. I found one and use AminoClear now. It's organic and sweetened with stevia, so no carbs.
  5. Hi, I'm currently doing intermittent fasting, AKA LeanGains, and was wondering if anyone uses a 10g BCAA supplement that is vegan sourced and not in pill form. Is there a clear drink out there like Cellucor that is NOT from milk or whey? I take Vega Protein after but need a carbless one for my fasted training. Would sincerely appreciate the help! Thanks, Nixie
  6. Idealist.org is a great one that has companies that help the world. They offer internships and volunteer options too.
  7. This sounds like a food allergy. Try cutting out gluten, soy, or dairy for 2 weeks and see if it goes away. If you can't pinch fat on top, it's bloating. Cut down on salt and find the allergen.
  8. Thanks Dylan! My boyfriend is afraid of me being a "lunk" so I don't want to admit to "building up." haha. I just want to be cut and finally achieve those hidden abs! Does anyone have suggestions on vegan amino acids? It seems really hard to find one. I went to GNC yesterday and all they had was whey tabs or Cellucor- which I'm not sure where the aminos are sourced from. I found ONE on amazon called AminoClear, but it's super expensive. I currently take Vega Performance Protein 2x a day on training days, but I would like to try Fasted Training and need a super low calorie BCAA drink to protect/build my muscles. I'm currently attempting Intermittent Fasting in the form of Lean Gains 16/8. Has anyone else tried this?
  9. Hello everyone. I've signed up here to connect with other plant-based eaters gaining muscle and working out almost daily! I'm not sure I would call myself a bodybuilder, persay, but I am building up my body to be cut and defined. I don't know where the line starts and end as to what a body builder is! I'm a Certified Personal Trainer, Fitness Nutrition Specialist, and a plant-based eater. I'm not quite a vegan because I have sushi once in a blue moon, but otherwise I eat vegan organic food. I'm looking for protein packed, low-calorie vegan recipes. And I'm looking to find out how you get all your calories in a healthy, organic plant way, before, during, and after working out for your body to rebuild up nice and strong. Best health to all, Nixie
