  1. I am new to this forum and returning to bodybuilding/fitness after about 20 years of distraction. My biggest distraction being my career as a filmmaker. Now that I am once again in a position at a studio where my hours, although still long, are at least in a semi-regular schedule. So I began about 4 weeks ago to carve out at least an hour a day for work-outs. Been working long distance with a PT in LA but we are parting ways soon. She's a great PT and individual, just not aligned with the vegan approach. I have been vegetarian for about 25 years and vegan for, oh...8 years or so, of and on. All ON now since last December. I didn't think diet would be such a struggle for me, but finding it tricky to ADD effective calories to my diet that has been mostly raw for the past 12 months. My major goals are to lose the extra fat I put back on last year, about 15 lbs. worth, and build muscle definition. Would love to find a PT in the Portland, Oregon area that I can check in with from time to time. Or maybe just some folks in a support group scenario. I just ordered Robert's book and one of Brendan's as well and am looking forward to digging into those upon my return from LA next week. J
