  1. Hello all I know this thread is old but I am just curious if people are still following IF protocol?
  2. Does anyone do IF (Intermittent Fasting) on this forum?
  3. No offense taken just changed it because I thought it might offend people deffintly didn't want to come in here on the wrong foot. I love cooking my girlfriend laughs at me because I'm like a mad scientist in the kitchen, always trying new things meat had become so blan for me and to just try new things is exciting for me. I will deffintely give it a shot just have to pick up some sweet potatos next week. Tried to make some bean burgers but they ended up to dry still trying to work that one out probably cooked to long on a high heat. PS Lifts have gone up as well which excites me
  4. Hey guys just wanted to give an update to those that may be interested. Getting close to a month now of just eating only veggies and only had one slip up about a week ago. Went to a wedding and there wasn't much to eat had one piece of chicken was kind of mad at myself but when I think about it I've made such a drastic change. I decided not to beat myself up that bad since it was only one. My go to meal so far is a meatless chili with some tofu, but continuing to experiment with foods. The first week I had started it was pretty rough so many temptations to go back but I stuck with it. I'm going to attempt to make Navratan Korma tonight when I get home from work. Experienced Indian food the other night and it was extremely delicious. On the other hand my girlfriend had a much easier time transferring over since she never liked meat that much anyways so no slip ups for her. Both of us have started to notice a decrease in body fat% and I'm putting on lean muscle mass while cutting out body fat. Still sitting at 205 but abs are becoming more noticeable.
  5. I really appreciate the support guys. The biggest thing that was brings me to meat was the lack of knowledge of how much protein you can get with veggies and fruits and how to go about eating to reach my macros. It also just became second nature and extremely easy (lazy) for me to throw a piece of chicken on a skillet and I suppose the I lacked the creativity to do something with vegetables other than steam them. It really won't be difficult as I always loved fruits and veggies. I'm always nervous of not being able to reach my macro goals with vegetables to obtain my long term goal. So I begin my journey after this last batch of meat products (I also hate wasting food 2 pieces of chicken left) but have already incorporated eating raw/greens. I love to spend my time in the kitchen so figuring this out will be fun for me. Made two quick meals today vegetable stir fry and rice, beans, and onions for today since I was low on food. Going to attempt to make a black bean/sweet potato burger (absolutely love sweet potato). Mini Forklift ever think of making a PDF recipe book for all the things your making?
  6. Sorry haven't replied in awhile vegan_rossco: Thank you for the warm welcome haha. I live in the US currently residing in Connecticut just moved up in the New London area. C.O.: I thought about that but if I know myself I wouldn't make the full commitment until I cut out all the meat. I tried the same with cigarettes it wasn't until I just tossed the pack out the window did I finally quit (although throwing meat out the window would be fun probably not advised). Do you guys have any favorite recipes that you would like to share? I'm in the process of making a grocery list now for tomorrow to start my new lifestyle.
  7. My girlfriend and I are going to give it a go and make our best attempts to sick with it. I will probably have a more difficult time giving up meat due to the amount I have been eating for years but once i start something i always stay dedicated. We will come back and keep everyone updated on how we are doing and feeling with our new life style.
  8. I apologize if i offended was just trying to be silly. I want to make the switch I just don't want to set myself up for failure as this is a completely new idea. After watching a few documentaries is where the idea came from. Thank you for the quick response your help is greatly appreciated.
  9. I am currently a meat eater and looking to switch to the right side. I see the benefits of becoming a vegan and I'd love to give it a shot and become healthier but not sure how to even start. My long term goal is to reach 220 lbs and reach 10% bf. Currently at 5'10" 205 and 14% bf if anyone can point me in a direction I would greatly appreciate it.
