  1. yeah, I need to get one, I also want to get a "Body built by soy" shirt.
  2. Give HIIT a try, you can google it. But be warned, it can be pretty intense compared to normal jogging, until you get used to it.
  3. thanks, it used to be one of my weaker parts, but I've really been pouring some time into it. I could still use a great more width on my lats though.
  4. I think we have our catalyst right there, anyone who has ever given a long massage should know how that kills the forearms.
  5. well, the funny thing in my experience is that the time off also helped me return my leptin levels to a normal range and my bulk is a funky bulk as I'm dropping BF% also, in the past 3 weeks I've gained 8lbs, but also dropped 3% in my bf, measured with calipers and bod pod. I'm doing a hour of cardio 4 times a week, and 3 days of HST. I also ingest protein before and during my HST routine, as a recent study suggests that protien pre workout is more impotant to hypertrophy than post (however, I do a post workout shake also). I'm incorporating the idea of G-flux into my workouts, hence the large work load. I've basically just been throwing all I can at my body to see where my breaking point is, but haven't found it yet. I track everything I do, everything I eat, my bf%, weight, and take weekly pictures in the same lighting, during the same time of the day, in the same room, so that I can see the changes. I can't say everyone would lose bf and gain lbm with what I'm doing, but so far it is working, I see noticable changes every week.
  6. I completly agree with this article, I will go 5-6 months without a break, then something comes up where I may miss anywhere from a week to 2 months. Everytime I come back I get bigger than my last plateau, and stronger. It's also usually really fast too, I gain like crazy also. For me it's usually a 1 for 1 amount of time, take one week off and I am in a gaining frenzy for 1 week, take a month off and gain for a month. I'll post some pics later, that I have taken this month chronicling my return from a month off.
  7. gotta love big forearms, gives a great illusion of being huge. I had a friend in highschool with naturally large forearms, everyone thought he was incredibly muscular, yet he had little birdie upper arms.
  8. hmm, if it's been there for 3.5 weeks it may be time to see a Doc (I know, I hate them too). But as for what I do, I would work out but that's because I have several complexes that would leave me a shell of a man if I missed a workout. Hell, I'm planing to workout right after having wisdom teeth surgery on Friday.
  9. I guess my long term goal is to put on another 30lbs of lean mass and drop my bf to 5%. I know it's boring, but I think that would be the limit of my obsesion.
  10. it really shouldn't be too difficult to get your protein with all the soy products out there now a day. My girlfriend who is vegan usually accidently gets too much protein from her vegan diet, and has to regulate her intake.
  11. thanks all, and expect alot of intelligent participation from this guy.
  12. Just joined on here because I got tired of the other bodybuilding boards blatant biasts (wow that's quite the aliteration) towards non meat eating lifters. It's great to see some other lifters who don't have the old school thought process. Anyways, a little about me; I'm 24, well in a few weeks, I have been Veg for a year now (yeah I'm still a newbie), and have been lifting for roughly 10 years. I was certified by ACE some 6 years ago, and need to get re certed again. Anyways, ever since going Veg my workouts have been incredible, my energy is out of this world, I recover like I'm indestructible, and it's never been easier to keep fat off. I'll never understand why of all people, bodybuilders haven't all gone Veg.
