Re: much harder to get shredded after 40?

Well your metabolism is much slower in your 40's than in your 20's but don't let that stop you. There are tons of super fit people in their 60's even some in their 70's and older. There is a marathon runner in her mid 70's that is really impressive. -Dylan I totally got ya......but I am fearful I a...

Re: Why do you all eat so much dang protein?

Great thoughts.... I have been doing tons of carbs and I will say, I was just as strong last summer when I was doing less carbs and more protein with protein drinks, etc.....I was as strong or stronger and leaner. I looked leaner, muscles stood out more and I was just as strong or stronger. Hmmm, mi...

Why do you all eat so much dang protein?

I used to be one to consume protein supplements, creatine, you name it and was always careful to eat lots of protein. You know what, I have made better gains in the last year or so eating more by instinct and natural craving, which means a ton of carbs, such as shredded wheat, oats, beans, fruit and...

much harder to get shredded after 40?

I am 42 and spent the last two years bulking up. Right now I am over 230 lbs at over 6'2". I look at my stomach, and I feel fat but other people see me with my shirt on and think I have little fat. However, I am used to very little fat so any amount makes me feel chubby I just look like a fairl...

Re: My ripped diet!

Ever eat too much at night? I had a hard workout today so I ate extra tonight but I over did it. After a dinner of salad, potatoes, tofu and soy sausage, I then had two bowls of cereal and a cup of yogurt. Stomach hurts, LOL.

Re: My ripped diet!

Horsesense, the problem I and most all people have is that we lose muscle along with fat and gain muscle along with fat so I know it is near impossible to gain muscle and lose fat at the same time. It is one or the other, gain or lose. When I was about 38 - 40, I was down to about 3,000 - 3,500 calo...

I was thinking of removing all nuts for a while. The thing that worries me about bulking up at 42, it seems so much harder to lose the belly fat at this age. :(

Been snowboarding since I was 20, I am 42 now. I grew up with some of the early pros and lived in Utah. I hate cardio, only weights....but I am adding bike and stair climber at the gym.

I have strong political views, social views, animal rights views, etc and I have been trying to gert rid of friends who stand on the other side of the fence. Re: How come so many people have no idea how to work shoulde

Completely agree about the smith machine... honestly can't remember the last time I used one. Can you provide any links to support the palms in vs forward statement? I'm not at all doubting you or disagreeing, it's just that I've had sports injuries in my right shoulder in the past and want to make...
