Re: Traveling? HELP

In addition to happycow.com for restaurants, I tend to eat a ton of raw food while traveling. I'll be in Wyoming or wherever and just stop at a grocery store and pick up a bunch of apples, carrots, oranges, nuts, peanut butter, etc.. to carry with me. This way you always have food on hand especially...

Re: Vitamin B-12: Where To Get It Cheap And Vegan

I get my B12 tablets from Whole Foods. The brand I use is called "Veg Life." They run about $6 per bottle and they are the sublingual tablets that supposedly absorb better.

Re: Dollar store vegan finds

The "99 Cent Only" stores in the Los Angeles area all carry the WestSoy soy milk as well as organic cherry tomatoes, organic lettuce, organic celery and organic beans and other canned goods. I get a lot of my groceries there especially when times are tough.

Bold Native

I just checked out a great animal rights inspired move called "Bold Native." A few of my friends acted in the movie and did a fantastic job! Go check it out if you live on the West Coast. I believe it will be playing in Seattle and Portland next in select theaters. It was also a pleasure t...

Re: Ideas on a good breakfast for concentration?

I have oatmeal with banana, cinnamon, agave, and a little peanut butter mixed in. This works well and carries me for a couple of hours before I need something else to eat.

Re: Considering a soy isolate..

I personally don't have much of a problem with it either. A lot of new vegetarians/vegans are lead to believe that it is one of the only protein sources out there though when reading through nutritional advice columns about animal-free diets. I'd say go for it but make sure that you try getting prot...

Re: Going without supplements

I live a heavily active lifestyle too between my job, being a drummer and working out at the gym and I find that eating small meals throughout the day is the first thing that helps get me through without feeling fatigued. Secondly, make sure you are eating a variety of foods. I try my best to have a...
