Cyanocobalamin vs Methylcobalamin (Vitamin B-12)

Another option is hydroxocobalamin injections, from a doctor or DIY. It's just a pin-prick, no need to find veins or anything. You can get the tiny needles + hydroxo at most pharmacies over-the-counter. Then there's no question about will I/won't I absorb B-12.

MARMITE? What is that?

It's usually just used as a spread. I have seen it in recipes... but they're generally "novelty" sort of junky recipes put out by the company to try to sell more products... Vegemite is becoming a popular condiment and cooking ingredient in Japan apparently.

Who takes Vega?

Hey everyone, first post! Just wondering if I can get Vega products down here in Australia, if not which sites are best for shipping to Aus? Thanks Nic Hemp isn't classified as a human-safe food in Australia, so you run the risk of customs swiping your goods on entry to the country... This has neve...

Staring at computer screens gives me bad eyesight. My house is pretty artificial, too.

Oh well.

Re: Anybody here outdoorsy?

Just moved to the tropical end of the Outback and I've been out and about seeing incredible scenery and waterfalls and looking at rockclimbing destinations. Currently out-of-commission a bit due to a 4-month-old baby... Swimming almost every day atm. The wet season is HOT. I'd love to hike the Appa...

Re: Today I said goodbye to Possey for the final time

Sorry to hear that. She was a lucky kitty, I bet. I lost a lovely 17yo kitty years ago, too. Hard losing a fuzzy family member that's been around shedding light fur on black pants for so long. <3

Re: Pregnancy and Veganism

I've got 2. No spontaneous combustion here, either. :) I tried vegan prenatal supplements but they made me nauseous. Just took B-12, occasionally omega oil. My iron dropped, but not outside of the "normal" range. My 1st talked at 4 months, the 2nd started moving at 4 months, both off-the-c...

Re: Re: Vegans owning non-Vegan animals?

it is going against nature. The physical world isn't some moral authority and it is not capable of being harmed by going "against" it. It may or may not be in everyone's best interest to feed cats a vegan diet that's synthetically supplemented as necessary, but the observation of their na...

Hello! I'm Renée, from south-east Queensland in Australia - I live in both the city and the country, as we're renovating/moving between two places! I've been vegan for 6 years. Easily the most rewarding thing I've done in my life. A month ago I had my 2nd child... and since I got pregnant with him I...

Re: Jillian Michaels is against soy milk?

From my blog post about soy - ♥ “Based on the bulk of the evidence soy appears to be perfectly safe for nearly all healthy individuals when it is consumed in reasonable amounts. We would say that a reasonable amount of soy is two to three servings per day. ” - Is It Safe to Eat Soy? by Virginia Mess...
