Re: How to be a vegan in prison

Wow, I've actually wondered about this just to myself before. Nice post. Now we need a link on how to be a vegan bodybuilder in jail! lol. It's going to be hard to maintain mass in jail, and that is a place where you will need it most...

Re: NEWBIE LOOKING FOR ADVICE!

Hello. I am new to this site, eating clean and working out in general. I am tired of being unhealthy and ready to make a change. I've never like eating meat - personally it has always made me feel quite ill. I read "Skinny Bitch" by Rory Freedman and Kim Barnouin a few years ago and have ...

Re: Looking for vegan athletes & trainers for a project...

Hey, if you're still looking for athletes I'd possibly be interested depending on what you are looking for. I talked to the Mercy for Animals organization at a local vegetarian festival where I live and even offered to volunteer for them. I shot you an email.

Re: Planet Fitness

I trained a couple months at Planet Fitness because some buddies from work begged me to come train with them after work (we work nights..) and so I did. It wasn't the best experience. There was a group of 3 guys, one big guy and his two smaller buddies (I assume the big dude was their brofessor) tha...

Raw Vegan Bodybuilders?

Is there any Raw Vegan Bodybuilders around here? I was thinking about going raw vegan for a while now, and was working there before I decided I wanted to build muscle, which caused me to start eating a lot of cooked foods and soy. I'd like to start working there again, however, I'd still like to bui...

Re: Forearms hurt when curling with a barbell?

The exercises are basically using hand grippers and this one with palms facing up and palms facing down, I do 3 series of 15 of each using dumbbells, but using a barbell also works just fine: http://www.passion4profession.net/muscles-exercises/forearm-exercises-l.jpg Thanks a bunch, I am going to i...

Re: Forearms hurt when curling with a barbell?

Do you get the same pain when using a dumbbell? If not it could be due to your arms being fixed in position without the chance to adjust their angle as the arms bend when using a barbell. With a dumbbell your forearms can twist slightly at different points in the movement. No, no pain at all when I...

Forearms hurt when curling with a barbell?

Does anyone else have this problem? Every time I use the barbell to curl I get a bad pain in my forearm and I have to let it go slowly as that is when it really kicks in. I've read that it could be to muscle cramps and lack of potassium but I do not think that is the case because I am a banana mania...

Re: Lifting with the legs hurts flexibility/speed?

Hey man, I'm a taekwondo student and I've gotta say getting bigger is going to improve sparring (in my experience) if you're concerned about flexibility and speed then just train for strength, lower reps and higher weights! :) just out of out curiosity what belt grade are you mate? Actually just go...

Lifting with the legs hurts flexibility/speed?

Well, as I have stated in my intro I am a Martial Arts guy. Taekwondo right now to be exact. I don't have any competitions coming up in the near future so I am not too concerned with the short term effects. Obviously I understand after starting a new leg routine my legs will be sore and stiff, it is...

Re: Who takes Vega?

Well, Here in Brazil 1L(0.2 gallons) of almond milk is as expensive as 60L(15 gallons) of water or 5L(1.3 gallon) of soy milk. You are a lucky guy to have this available =) Sometimes I make my own almond milk, but it is way too time consuming. You're right, I feel very lucky to live in a part of th...

Re: Who takes Vega?

Anyone do anything special with their protein powders? Recently what I've been doing with the Sunwarrior protein is one scoop of chocolate and vanilla (1ea), a spoonful of peanut butter, a frozen banana, and almond milk and making a morning smoothie with all that. It's really good tasting but drinki...
