Re: How do I go from fit to LEAN?

Why did you choose/decide to resort to meds to bring up your testosterone? Just curious  My 2c is if someone was going to get their bloods done there would also be other markers I would get checked too, rather than just solely focusing on what your testosterone levels are. Depending on how acc...

How much muscle can a lacto-ovo vegetarian build?

From what I read, a natural athlete following a typical bodybuilding diet with supplementation can build about 30 pounds of muscle. I'm guessing that a vegetarian that doesn't eat a lot of animal products/protein can't build that without supplementation , but I would like to know how much they could...

Re: 4 year Vegetarian - Starting bodybuilding - My Grocery L

Don't even bother with casein. I don't even know why people bother buying that. I know that they say it's a slow release protein, but is the fact that it's slow release going to make you build more muscle? I say no. Just look for a quality whey isolate without artificial sweeteners like now food's w...

Re: One month vegan, and not feeling so good. Need input

80/10/10 really only makes sense for endurance athletes like marathon runners imo. It really doesn't make sense for a bodybuilder or a sedentary individual. Endurance athletes need so many carbs in relation to the amount of protein and fat that they are consuming because of the amount of energy that...

Re: Vegan Distance Runner vs. Meat Eating Natural Bodybuilde

My doctor admitted to me that my diet was healthier than his. He did this readily with no bias. He actually understands the problems associated with meat because he has to deal with treating them on a day to day basis. His opinion is based on science and not an "I do it so it's the best" ...

Re: Vegan Distance Runner vs. Meat Eating Natural Bodybuilde

Well I basically went from being a meat eating bodybuilder (I wasn't actually a bodybuilder but I was on a bodybuilding diet) and now I'm a vegetarian (almost a vegan) runner. From my personal experiences running and avoiding animal products is much healthier. I almost destroyed my bowel from follow...

I'm talking about a person who eats a healthy vegan diet compared to someone who eats a traditional bodybuilding diet like this http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/animalpak68.htm

Vegan Distance Runner vs. Meat Eating Natural Bodybuilder

These two lifestyles are on opposite ends of the spectrum, but which lifestyle is healthier? I figured I'd post this question on a vegan bodybuilding forum since the people on this forum have lifestyles that are a combination of the two. It's really difficult to find people who will give you an unbi...

Re: Doing standing military press every day

How many sets of pull ups and push ups are you doing? The only person who can tell if you're overtraining is you. If you feel completely drained the day after you work out chances are you're overtraining. What I do is give myself a push day where I do pressing movements (for you this would be push u...

Re: How to Get Good Posture

My posture is horrible also. I have anterior pelvic tilt and that completely throws my physique off. It's probably from wearing a knapsack during my elementary school years and sitting at the computer for long periods of time. I hate it because it gives the illusion of a big belly and a big butt. Th...

Re: Building muscle on a calorie surplus that's low in prote

No two people will get the same response from the same macro ratios, it's all going to be up to your genetics, how you train, and what you choose to eat for meeting those macros that will decide where you're going to end up. It doesn't pay to obsess about various macronutrient ratios unless you are...

Re: Building muscle on a calorie surplus that's low in prote

You guys need to go to bodybuilding.com and learn about nutrition its a science proven by thousands of athletes. Its pretty simple eat more then you burn you get fat. Can not see abs fat. Too much protein will turn to fat, too much carbs turns to fat. Muscle is made up of proteins (amino acids). ca...

Re: Building muscle on a calorie surplus that's low in prote

You can get a sick pack more easily at 165 than 145 as long as most of that extra weight is muscle. I know how you feel, because two years ago I was 220 and FAT, then I worked my ass off to get down to 145, and was stronger, but was (and still am) still lacking abdominal definition. However, at 155...
