Vegan Joe
I see it at the farmers market. But I can't seem to bring myself to buy any. It looks like it's engineered or somthing. I will have to get up my nerve. Being no one has apparently died from eating it in over 400 years. LOLFROM WIKI:Romanesco broccoli is an edible flower of the species Brassica oleracea and a variant form of cauliflower. Romanesco broccoli was first documented in Italy (as broccolo romanesco) in the sixteenth century. It is sometimes called broccoflower, but that name is also applied to green-curded cauliflower cultivars. It is also known as coral broccoli. This vegetable resembles cauliflower but is a light green color and the inflorescence (the bud) has an approximate fractal character, with the branched meristems making a logarithmic spiral. offense74
I've had it many times. It's more like cauliflower than broccoli.
vivalasvegans
Yep, it's pretty good. You can munch on it plain, uncooked, or broil it with a little olive oil and your fave herbs and spices on top, steam with a little lemon, salt, and garlic, throw it in a stir fry, etc... not quite as easily growable as broccoli, more nutrients than cauliflower...
