Raw Falafels

#1 Postby Tasha » Sat Dec 27, 2008 3:43 pm

I made this last night with Lean and Green.

3 cups of sprouted Chick Peas
1 cup of sunflower seeds
2 cloves of garlic
1 onion
3 squeezed lemons
1 cup of tahini
2 tsp of cumin or curry spice (or both)
1.5 tsp of salt

.

Blend all ingredients together, roll in little balls or patti's on a dehydrator sheet. Put in for 8 hrs or longer.
Flip them over every 2-3 hrs.

If we find LG's camera. I hope to post some pictures when they are finished. :D

Man I wish I had a dehydrator, these foods sound like so much fun

We gotta learn to see the beauty in each moment of life
Everyone has different pasts and we're seeking the light
The world is divided between peasants and kings
But the truth is everyone is looking for the same thing

That sounds really good. I've taken to baking falafel instead of frying. Even with canola oil, that grease can wreak havoc on your digestive system.
