Looking for a good milkshake recipe...

#1 Postby Fallen_Horse » Sun Jul 12, 2009 12:13 pm

Similar to Coldstone consistency but vegan of course. I am thinking of using coconut milk in place of cream and vanilla soymilk in place of regular milk. My problem is that I am having to add too much ice, which de-creams the shake. Any ideas?

Try adding frozen banana, put through a juicer or whipped up in the blender. Frozen banana on it's own ends up like soft serve consistency. Really chill that coconut milk down. If you add more fat, it'll be even creamier, like maybe some nut butter. Oh I'm getting hungry. I need to get out of this thread.

Avocado works wonders too! Avocado + bananas makes for really nice consistency. Since avocado has a mild, buttery flavor, it works well with milkshakes.
