Thanks stcalico I'm going to try the power house burger next, I did make some Saturday. Kidney beans, quinoa, barbaque, ketchup, mustard, onions, garlic and some spices. I added some hemp protein, wheat gluten, and seitan to bring up the protein numbers got it to 16g/burger. Tasted good ones cooked in the oven where a little dry, ones fried in oil in iron skillet I think where better. Would like to get protein to around 20g/burger.

Made a pizza last night 274 cal. 21g protein per slice. Everything was good except did not like aidya cheese. If I made it vegatarian with real cheese would be very main stream.

Awesome. Let me know how the power house ones are. I haven't made them yet, but they are in my collections of 'pins', so will be good to know if they are a keeper or not. I actually skip the bun on my burgers (when no on is around to judge - lol). I enjoy them more as sort of a 'burger salad'. I figure I don't need all those extra carbs in the bread. If you lose the bread, you can add more burger too.. which ups the protein ratio.

Oh.. I tried and didn't like Daiya either.

But I have a new obsession with cashew cheese.

Not sure if it is your taste, but this is currently my favorite 'pizza' substitute - http://ohsheglows.com/2012/08/21/easy-roasted-tomato-pizza-with-basil-cashew-cheeze-2012-vegnews-awards/. It uses one cashew cheese variation. I use pita bread for the crust, not tortillas as suggested.. the pita gets harder/crunchier than a tortilla.

these look nice, from my calculations, they have about 16 grams protein, and are about 166 calories if you divide them like they suggest

seems too good

my calculations say(for the whole 6 burgers)

hopefully this site has right values, didnt bother with the small spices etc

54% carb

5% fat

39% protein

(rounded up)

anyway, dang, they look easy, cheap and tasty, i'll have to make some tonight or tomorrow
