oregonisaac
So I have decided to start working in additional protein sources beyond just greens slowly in my raw diet, I feel my body needs it and training demands it, so this is a fun way to do it for me! In the food processor:4-5 scoops hemp protein (about 140g total, 70g of that protein)2 carrots (chopped)5 brazil nuts (soaked, chopped)2 tbls carob1 tbls agave2 tbls coconut oil1 tbls hemp oil Process well then press into a cake shape on a plate, cool in the fridge to solidify. Because I have been eating only fruits and veggies for a while, this is a couple days worth for me. Ingredients are very approximated, I do not measure anything. This would most likely be better with hemp nuts to replace some or all of the protein and the hemp oil, but I don't have any, will try sometime. paulcats02
hi isaac what is dry and what is wet out of the ingredients? i'm guessing the hemp is dry and the rest are wet especially the oil and the agave... but what about the carob, is that also a powder? cos you can also get the actual pod of the carob, too, right? hmm sounds real tasty. i don't have any any brazil nuts handy and am almost out of agave but maybe i'll substitute soaked goji berries and or figs for them? ljk11
Whenever I use hemp protein I find it tastes sort of harsh/bitter or something. Is that how it tastes or do I have crummy hemp?
Zack
I think hemp is an acquired taste, but I like it now.
