Batatas And You

#1 Postby GoldenRatio » Sat Feb 16, 2008 2:17 am

Recently Ive been going crazy over this root that I had not eaten since I was an 8 year old in Caracas... BATATA!!!

It tastes like a cross between an idaho potato, a sweet potato and purple.
these things are so good I can even eat em without any seasoning.

Just Boil Em up and Dig in.

If you cant find em in a regular supermarket, check in the hispanic/caribean ones

Bastard!
Atleast I just learned that purple originally comes from the mucus-secretion of the hypobranchial gland of a marine snail.
