Thanks Ash for saying I was a motivator (I think that was directed to me)
Congratulations on your internship position and Happy Birthday to you. I think you were one of the first to see the Vegan Fitness Built Naturally Trailer. Thanks for ordering the shirts, you should wear those around Disney on your off-hours
To be honest, my very first impression was much like Jonathan's. When I think of Disney, I don't always think the best thoughts.
But I also agree that it could just be a step along the way in the direction you are trying to take your life, and having a vegan there can help cause some changes within. Obviously major changes take large numbers of like-minded people and usually years, but I think you'll be able to have a positive influence on people.
I know what it's like working for large corporations as a vegan. I've done it in the past. I've worked for some of the world's largest companies within certain industries (24-Hour Fitness, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Steiner, and others). Sometimes I felt bad about working for a large corporation but I was able to have a positive influence on others and I was able to have a lot of fun, make a bunch of money and put it toward vegan purchases, and learned a lot in the field I was working in.
So Disney is not great, maybe not even good, maybe they're bad or maybe they're evil, but maybe it's just one rung on a much bigger ladder you're climbing to fulfill the dream we should all have which is to "Let yourself be silently drawn by the strong pull of what you love."
Have a great time my sweet friend,
