Moon over Ocean

I walked out onto the beach tonight since it was so unseasonable warm. The huge moon was absolutely breathtaking over the dark sea. The water was so calm the moon glistened across it and you could hear the sound of the waves gently rolling in and out. The sand was cool to the touch but so soft and everything was quiet. I only saw one couple walking their dog down the boardwalk as I was leaving. It is so amazing to me how something so vast and beautiful can make me feel so small and at peace.

I just thought I'd share....wish I had a camera with me.

It makes me want to be near the beach again.

When I worked on cruise ships, at sea for nearly 2 years total, I had so many of these experiences. Sailing into Stockholm Sweden was amazing. We passed by about 10,000 small Islands. The sun was amazing on the water, and the same in Russia and other places I visited. I took a bunch of photos

I've got a few minutes so here are some I have saved on the main website:

A photo I took in Norway:

Beautiful water out in St. Martin in the Caribbean

Totally at peace

The moutains and hills near my current apartment, also at peace

Nature is beautiful, just don't fall in the water

Anyway, those are a few. Thanks for taking me back I LOVE some of those places

hehe, yeah there are a few places.

My dad has been to every continent except Antarctica. I'm still missing a few

Working on the cruise ships took me all over. I was going to keep doing it to get out to Southeast Asia and Africa where some of my best friends are, but I decided to stay home and film a movie and continue to compete as a vegan bodybuilder.

Maybe someday I'll be able to travel on my own so I can do bodybuilding, movies, and visit exotic places. On the ship I worked 7 days a week but I still had a few hours, or many hours each day to get off and explore the country I was in. We had a few overnight stays as well so we could see more.

When I get my laptop fixed, I'll post tons of awesome photos. I have thousands, but I'll just pick the best, I won't flood the forum with my own personal scrapbook

Traveling is so much fun! I hope all of you get to do a lot of it during your lives. Start with the Vegan Fitness Team Vacation in the Caribbean in 2006 and possibly Germany in 2007

Post them all! I want your scrapbook! J/K, I don't want to put you through all that work.

Your dad mustve been more busy than you if he has been on more continents than you, that is crazy! There are always those cruises to Antartica, I got a mail from WWE I believe awhile back with cruises and stuff there.

How many countries off the top of your head have you been to?

Hey Daywalker,

I didn't hijack the thread you nugget. I was just sharing some of my own experiences that Seasiren reminded me of.

I'm very happy she shared the story with us. Those are nice moments, memories, and it's ok to post replies you silly silly man.

Go back to training, you've got a contest to prepare for.

Anyone else feel free to share your stories like this. We've all had those times we wish we could freeze and experience over again.

Robert, I love the photos, thank-you for posting them. I so wish I had a photo of the moon last eve.

I have a few photos, when I actually had a camera on me:

Sunset over the Chesapeake Bay, background of my daughter's Soccer Field.

Also the Chesapeake Bay, near the docks of the Soccer Field (also a Park and Recreational Center).

Our sunsets are obviously over the Bay and Sunrises over the Ocean.

I have a couple more of the Atlantic one of which is a huge sea turtle swimming over what we called "Lake Atlantic" that day (the sea was so calm it looked like a lake). But, I think they are on one of my other computers....I'll have to look when I get home late tonight. I have meetings all night 'til about 10PM *sigh*

Funny this post is here, I was just reminiscing about these places today: (all on the McKenzie River in Oregon, just a few miles apart)

Years ago we were walking our dog in a big field on a perfect autumn day. It was brisk, the sky was a deep October blue & the leaves were bright gold & orange. We were at the top of a hill & there were several big cottonwood trees below & in the distance. All of the sudden a huge flock of birds - grackle size - flew out from the trees & started swooping all about the area. Then they would settle back in the trees for a few seconds & start all over again. We stood & watched this wonderful entertainment for about 7 minutes. You could tell the birds were enjoying their flight on a spectaular day.

Isn't it amazing how in a huge flock of birds they never collide? We can't even navigate roads with our paths clearly marked without having accidents.

Hey Daywalker,

I wasn't talking about you, i was talking about MY post - i was in a hurry and had nothing worthy to say to Sea Sirens original moon-post

I'm training hard, but slackening a bit with the diet - i want to eat so bad, too!

But don't worry, i'll be in ok shape.

Hey Alex

Cool man. I thought you were talking about me because I posted my own photos

I like this thread, it is awesome to have our own little scrapbook or photo journal of the places we've been.

There are some amazing photos on here!

Once I get my computer back I will post some really awesome ones. I have one of El Senior but I don't think Topher or Megan would allow me to post it.

Off subject a bit.....keep up the diet and best of luck with the show. I'll post more wishing you luck in the bodybuilding sections

Thanks everyone for the cool photos posted so far.

Yeah, during that stop in Norway, someone did fall in the water, it was pretty scary. I didn't see it but heard about it. He survived, but it wasn't a small fall. I was pretty nervous because the water was flowing really fast and one of my good friends sat out on a rock near the white water for a photo. He could have been taken for a ride he wouldn't have liked.

I have some really great traveling photos. When my computer is repaired and returned to me you'll see some awesome stuff.

Thanks to others who posted photos too, they all look great!
