Have you ever had the urge to hop on your bike and ride down a country lane…stopping by the farms along your route to try their produce? Well now you have the opportunity to have fun, get some sun, eat locally-grown foods, and drum up support for the North Bay area’s local farmers.

The annual Tour d’Organics is happening in just a few days; Sunday, August 16th. Usually, their rides are all booked up by this time of year, and online registration is now closed, but you can still show up early and register in person on Sunday (the day of the event). You may choose to ride in the “Berry Fun ride” of 16 miles, or you may look for more of a challenge by opting for the 35-, 65-, or even 100-mile rides.

Along the way, there are rest stops at local farms where you can try the fruit picked that morning and enjoy other refreshments. All food is vegan, organic, and local. There is even a meal that you can enjoy after your ride to revitalize yourself after you’ve spent most of your energy on the road.

The event starts in Sebastopol and winds its way through the beautiful Sonoma ...
