What's your ideal night?

#1 Postby compassionategirl » Sun Jun 26, 2005 4:01 am

I really picture something like this. I love cooking and entertaining guests. So I would love to have a bunch of friends and my boyfriend's friends come over to my and my boyfriend's place (but I am single at the moment though so this is just a hypothetical boyfriend), eat a great dinner with some nice organic wine (or whatever your poison is), and then for everybody to sit around a table, laughing, talking, and playing a nice game of poker, and I would be sitting on my guy's lap while he is kicking everybody's ass in poker.

I myself am actually a really good poker player too (my dad loves poker and backgammon so I learned by watching him). That and the fact that I have recently caught the poker bug and watch that World Poker Tour show on Sundays!!

So what would your "ideal" Friday night look like?

OUCH! YOU GOT CAUGHT BY WORLD SERIES ALSO? Ya..after Moneymaker won, its a poker frenzy out there. I find the game fun, even though I suck! I was going to bring up the boyfriend issue also, but then you said it.

My ideal evening? Laying down and watching TV :D I dont think the gym counts as an ideal night lol.

I'm not one to go "out" at night so my ideal night would be home somewhere with my vegan fitness girlfriend (again, like Nat, it's just make belief right now, no girlfriend at the moment). I think my night might also include a bit of poker. I used to play on a regular basis and was quite good, but I've been horrible lately and taken time off from the game.............Anyway, back to the night:

I'd be sailing on a ship (remember I spent the last couple of years out at sea), and I'd be with the vegan fitness girlfriend and a collection of my best friends from around the globe, especially my buddies from Indonesia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, and South Africa. We'd hang out, watching the water surrounding the thousands of islands off the coast of Sweden. I'd play table tennis with Anak and joke around with Daniel and Karin, have some big laughs with Leonard and Desi, and then call it a night, sleeping out under the stars with the vegan fitness girlfriend.

So that is ideal.............and I've had some nights very similar in the past (working on the ship, with all my friends, out on the ocean, lying under the stars, playing cards, playing table tennis, etc.).

But for NOW...........Ideal night is just relaxing, answering a few e-mails, making good food, enjoying the quietness of being by myself and then drifting off to sleep and being able to sleep in the next morning!

I think I'm pretty tired now, time for bed. I guess I'll just have to dream about the "perfect night."

Ideal night one: feeling energised: dancing ALL night, and I mean all night in a club that plays fab music, and absolutley being drenched by sweat so that in the morning you are literally aching (obviously smoke free venue or else it takes me 3 days to get the smell out of my hair).

Take 2: chilling: a couple of very close friends (old school buddies etc) sitting at home and laughing so hard that your belly hurts.

Take 3: vegging: crawling into bed with a really good book.

Take 4: watching a kids movie with my daughter: (my fave at the moment is Sharks Tale). I love Will Smith, even as a dodgy fish! :P
