C.O.
So I recently learned about HPV because a loved one may have it. It is a really unique, crazy disease that can be sexually transmitted and can cause cancer. The strange part is only in women. Guys can be carriers but cannot even be tested for it. Damn it guys! Another reason to wear condoms! I thought if I was std tested and the woman I am with has been and she is on birth control then we are in the clear and I don't have to use those things....Anyway I am specifically interested in diet and its effects on HPV. For women and men. So if anyone has any information or experience please pass it along. Here are some links to what I found with google: http://www.livestrong.com/article/498373-diet-or-supplements-for-hpv-sufferers/ http://blog.avoidcancernow.com/2007/06/21/cervical-cancer-prevention-hpv-diet.aspx http://www.back-to-eden.net/newsletter2-1_hpv.htm http://www.newsmax.com/FastFeatures/HPV-virus-Genital-Warts/2011/01/18/id/383160 http://www.inspire.com/groups/national-cervical-cancer-coalition/discussion/hpv-diet/
blabbate
I've never heard anything specific, but I'm not a doctor. Generally, a diet that's good for the immune system and bad for cancer, which, if you're vegan, you're probably already doing. Also, there's no test for HPV in men or women. The "test" for women is actually a cervical cancer screening. Men can be screened for anal cancer, and both genders can be examined for genital warts.
