Yeah, I clean it but I go one better. A lot better, in fact. I wash my hands as soon as I get home. No matter where I went--shopping, the gym, clients, friends, the library--I always walk through the front door, put everything down on the side table, then march into the kitchen and scrape all those destinations off. At the gym, I wash my hands in the locker room before I head home, too. I don't actually worry too much about germs (I only get sick when I'm stressed and tired, never when I'm around sickness) but it grosses me out to actually feel a stickiness to my palms after shopping all day. How many people, from the bottling plant to the distributor to the store stockers, touched that bottle of organic canola oil before I put it in my cart? Did any of them reach down their pants and scratch their ass at work when they thought nobody was looking? Gag.
