I don't usually post feel-bad tales but this one has such an inspiring, happy ending that I decided to share it. Many of you may have already seen it on the news. I am well familiar with the mountain in the story, having climbed it several times. I, myself, decided to rescue someone from a storm on it, once, coming close to getting killed in the process. It's an easy hike for the fit and trained but a cruel lesson for those who are not. Completely exposed to the elements, zero shelter, with snow and hailstorms in the summertime: I can't imagine being trapped up there for a
week.
