asparagus Posted February 28, 2013 Share Posted February 28, 2013 Actually, the article states that the distillation procedure is clean, not the burning of the fuel. It is still hydrocarbon fuel (diesel) in an internal combustion engine, and as such will still produce all the same products when burned. However, using end-of-life non-recyclable plastic that would otherwise just sit in a landfill for 1000 years as viable fuel is a good step in the right direction.
