Over40
I just finished the Longevity Diet by Lisa Walford, et. al. Not much different than her dad's, "Beyond the 120 Year Diet". But, unlike her dad she seems to veer toward a vegan, low-glycemic approach to eating (calorie restricted of course). Research continues to come out concerning calorie restriction (in it's several mutating forms) and its efficay in delaying aging and age related chronic illnesses. Some people suggest cutting back "severly" one day, and eating "regularly" the next. That seems to enhance the same result. I would suggest both Walford books. I can tell a difference when I try to practice a CRON approach to eating, I do feel better, have more energy, and last winter, when I cut back to probably 1800-1900 calories a day I was able to avoid any serious winter colds.
