Cod in the UK

Someone sent this to me in an e-mail so I thought I'd post it:

I would like to bring to everyone's attention the plight of the Cod. The Uk is the biggest consumer of Cod in the whole of the world.... yup In the Whole of the world. The Cod, is becoming an endangered species and in a few years it will cease to exist, "What can i do to help?" i hear you cry........ well if the uk alone stops eating Cod for ten years the amount of Cod will be at a healthy level. And for all those of you not in the uk, just think if you also stop eating Cod it will take less than 10 years! I would also like to bring to everyone's attention that there are many fish that taste like Cod, and being a veggie myself- whynot just give up eating animals n fish??!!! lol i jest.
