I saved a bunny

#1 Postby V VII Hero » Sat Jul 30, 2005 12:00 am

when I came back from England, Rascal (cat), brought me a baby bunny rabbit as a "gift". the bunny was laying upstairs near my bedroom in shock. she was bleeding from the back. my mom helped me out, and we cleaned and dressed the wound. an hour or so later (after making sure Rascal was inside). I set the bunny free back into the wild, and she was okay.

Good save!

Hey, I thought you said you had long hair. What did you do, chop it off?

Good on ya, Topher!

I found this baby Mourning Dove on Monday and kept it safe 'til I could take it to a wildlife rescue center. I actually expected them to tell me to leave it out to die, since Mourning Doves are a dime-a-dozen down here, but they were as concerned as I was.

I volunteered to help out at the center, while I was there.

Awesome to see nice guys doing great things.

So many "guys' could care less about an injured animal. Sensitive, caring people rock!

I'm glad there are guys like you boys out there.

Nice guys finish first........I hope, because I fall into that category too!

Hero, tell Rascal not to be such a little rascal next time (i am assuming he mulled the bunny?) I cannot believe how tiny the bunny was - he fit right into your hand. I hope he is doin okay out there in this big bad world :(

I like you guys! You guys are great! This is like Robs incident with the family of ducks. You guys are a good example of how people should be! Thanks for all your kindness.
