About the Vegetarian Food Fair
The Vegetarian Food Fair takes place each September inside and on the grounds of York Quay Centre, Harbourfront Centre (235 Queens Quay West, Toronto). The themes of the fair include health and wellness, vegetarian cuisine, the environment, animal welfare, and community-building activism.

The fair features the following components:

Programming: We offer free programming throughout the duration of the fair, including guest speakers, workshops, cooking demonstrations, book signing sessions, film screenings, and children's activities. See our 2004 Event Schedule for a complete schedule of lectures, workshops, cooking demos and entertainment at last year's fair.

Interested in presenting a workshop at this year's Food Fair? Download the 2005 Workshop Proposal Package (115K PDF) for more information. Deadline for workshop proposals is May 20, 2005.

Cooking demonstrators wanted! Download the 2005 Cooking Demonstration Package (150K PDF) for more details. Deadline for cooking demo applications is June 24, 2005.

Consumer expo and information fair: Over 100 businesses and organizations staff their own vendor tables at the fair. See our Exhibitors page for more information, including a list of last year's exhibitors.

We encourage any company or group to make a promotional donation of veg and veg-related products and services to the Food Fair. Download the 2005 Product Donation Form (56K PDF) for more details. Deadline for applications is August 5, 2005.

Vegetarian food tent: Food concessions are located in Harbourfront Centre's World Café and offer a variety of reasonably priced vegetarian meals to visitors at the fair. Toronto-area restaurants, caterers and organizations operate the food concessions. Meals served represent a range of ethno-cultural backgrounds (e.g. Indian, Middle Eastern, Chinese, Italian, Ethiopian, etc.)

All venues are wheelchair accessible, and admission to all events is FREE to the public.

Goals of the Fair
Our goals are to:

Support all vegetarians and people who are on the road to becoming vegetarians, regardless of their motivation;
Proactively promote vegetarianism in a non-judgmental way; and
Empower people to make changes in the way they eat and live.

Hey Nat,

Will you be attending this event?

Please let me know, my buddy Brendan Brazier will be there I think (as I read in one of my previous posts).

You should wear your Vegan Fitness clothing if you attend! :D
