I gave up eating meat when my mother passed in 1999. While I'm not fully a vegan, after running into this website and reading about some of your progress, I am considering training this summer as a vegan. Once upon a time I was the President of a Vegetarian club, but I wear a lot of proverbial 'hats'. I'm into movies, music, travel and getting stronger than my carnivorous friends! Professionally, I'm interested in international development and using innovations in technology to help address the lack of medical care in resources-poor and developing nations. I was educated at UC Berkeley and Harvard and plan on attending the University of Michigan for my Masters of Public Health this fall. I have the next 3 months wide open and plan to use them to prepare for my MCAT exam and to work on my summer physique.
