Veg/ans in Upstate NY?

Hi All!

I'm a vegetarian, shifting toward veganism, in Albany NY. I have had a hard time finding veg/ans in my area and am wondering if there are any in this group. I'm here for dating &/or socializing. Lets explore the veg/an food around here, share receipts and work out schedules, keep e/o informed on veg/an meetups and so on!!

About me:

I'm in my last semester of law school and I finished an M.P.A. last year. My concentrations are in public policy (MPA) and international law (JD).

I own a small home and have 2 gorgeous pups, a weimaraner and a coyote/shepard mix.

I'm pretty outdoorsy and love camping/hiking. I've been a white water raft guide for 9 years, and have guided in Maine, NY and CO.

I love to travel and move to new places. I've lived in NC, Ca, CO, Conn, NY, MA, and Spain. I've visited 42 states, Mexico, Canada and England. I'm hoping to re-located next fall to either DC or Denver but this would depend on the job prospects.

I love going to live music shows and I love dancing. I like most music types; alternative- hip hop thru anti-folk. A sample of artists I enjoy include Michael Franti, Flobots, Regina Spector, the Avett Brothers, Band of Horses.

I'm obsessed with politics, but not the partisan politics attached to elections. I am into "human" rights work including LGBT rights, immigration and human trafficking issues and economic justice. I do a lot of volunteer work as well.

Im in Brooklyn but I head upstate sometimes to see aunts, uncles and cousins. Welcome to the forum. I know there are some other people in NY on here, not exactly sure which cities though. What's also cool is people from all over the world are on here.
