Hello from NJ.

#1 Postby Cmc53 » Tue May 08, 2012 11:12 pm

Hello everyone. My name is Craig and Today I decided that I would become vegan. I'm 29 years old and I've been bodybuilding for the past 12 years. When I started bodybuilding I was 18 years old, 270 lbs (fat)!! Never ate veggies or anything really healthy. With hard work I got down to 200 lbs with 6% bodyfat. Now I'm at a solid 215. And to be honest I'm sick of eating animal products. To be honest I never even imagined that a vegan could be a bodybuilder. Therefore I'm glad that I found a site that is dedicated to the bodybuilding vegan. I plan on getting a lot info from this site, and wouldnt mind some begginer advice.

Welcome Craig!

Awesome to have you here!

Congratulations on your decision to go vegan today! I'm proud of you and we're here to help. I've been competing on and off for the past 10 years. I'm only a middleweight competitor but of course I've learned a lot over the years.

We have thousands of members and a few hundred are active every day so I hope you get a chance to connect with some other members here.

All the very best!

Some general helpful articles can be found on the front of our main site www.veganbodybuilding.com

See you online.

-Robert

Where in NJ do you live? Represent!
Darth Vader from Sandlot once said, "Heroes get remembered, but legends never die." Then he later died.

Hi Craig! Welcome to the forum! It's so great to have you here. It's interesting that you feel "sick of eating animal products." Is going vegan something you've been thinking about for a while now and just thought you couldn't do it while bodybuilding? Or is it something that just struck you suddenly? I'm just curious as to what prompted the change (which I think is AWESOME, by the way! :D). So... how did Days 1 & 2 go for you? :)

Glad to have you here, as I'm sure you'll be able to provide some great feedback and advice for lots of people who are newer to bodybuilding/fitness, and you can tons of great advice from people who have more experience with a vegan/plant-based diet! Welcome aboard, Craig!
