New guy from Australia needing support

Hey everyone,

 

My name is Drew, I am 24 and have been vegan for a year now and decided I should maximize my health and fitness by joining the local gym. I've never been a very active guy but have always been rather tall and lean.

 

My goals are just to tone up and gain a little bit of muscle and just be overall fit. I have been researching a bit on pre/post workout nutrition and would love feedback on what everyone else is using. My gym is designed for 30 min quickie workouts and the snacks and smoothies in "Thrive" by Brendan B. seem to give you the right amount of nutrition to supply energy for the workout as well as recovering quickly.

 

I bought Vega One and some hemp protein (never had anything like this before), when is the best time to use this in my situation?

Check out the journal section of this forum. Studies have shown that keeping records is one of the biggest contributing factors towards successful health and fitness training programs. Also you and see what many others are eating and the workout routines that they are all doing.

Hi Drew,

 

I'm on the exact other side of the world so thought I'd say hi!

I find if you are starting in fitness the main thing is to find something you will stick too and just build from there. It sounds like you are off to a great start reading up in the nutritions side.

 

I think if you start a journal then people can see what you are currently doing and chip in from there, it also depend on what your goals are so state those in the journal too and people will be able to see if your using the right training for the goals you want.
