Hi again PETACANABIS.
Mexico is good - weather poor on Monday and Tuesday, but hot sincethen. I got a bit sunburnt yesterday.
You could cook food off me...
Cancun is OK - I like Downtown, and just watching how you Mexicans work, rest and play. I don't like the Hotel Zone much - too developed and tacky for me. I don´t think much of the bars and clubs here, but maybe that's because I'm not an 18yr old American on GradWeek/Summer Vacation.
The beach and sea here in Cancun are nice.
I like Nopales - very tasty.
In some shoops they are health food snacks and biscuits called Naturale Intergrales or something like that - soy snacks or oat meal cookies in different flavours. Do you know if any of these are vegan - some are labelled only in Spanish, some in English ( I'm not sure about the margarine?). There are a few brands - like Sariah - can you help?
I've been drinking Ades soya milk - there are a lot of nice flavours. There are a few other brands of soy milk I can' remember at the moment.
I've ate a lot at 100% Natural.
I won't make it to Chichen Itza now, didn't fancy 7hrs on a bus there and back....
I made it to Tulum on a public bus, just as it was closing. They wouldn't let me in for two minutes, couldn't believe it - 5hrs travelling and didn't really get to see it. I kicked up a fuss, so much so the staff threatened to call the police.
Yucutan seems really nice - would like to explore the area and Mexico properly one day, the food would be a worry though.
There seems to be a lot of health food stores around, healthy eating seems popular here, 100% Natural is always busy.
