New PlantBased Woman Here- Nixie

Hello everyone.

I've signed up here to connect with other plant-based eaters gaining muscle and working out almost daily! I'm not sure I would call myself a bodybuilder, persay, but I am building up my body to be cut and defined. I don't know where the line starts and end as to what a body builder is!

I'm a Certified Personal Trainer, Fitness Nutrition Specialist, and a plant-based eater. I'm not quite a vegan because I have sushi once in a blue moon, but otherwise I eat vegan organic food.

I'm looking for protein packed, low-calorie vegan recipes. And I'm looking to find out how you get all your calories in a healthy, organic plant way, before, during, and after working out for your body to rebuild up nice and strong.

Best health to all,

Nixie

Hi Nixie, welcome to our group here. I think if you are working towards building and shaping your body you are a body builder. Obviously there is a distinction between the every day bodybuilders, the competitive bodybuilders, and the professional bodybuilders. But who knows keep progressing and maybe you'll consider competing at some point. You sound like you'll fit in perfect here.

Cheers,

Thanks Dylan! My boyfriend is afraid of me being a "lunk" so I don't want to admit to "building up." haha.

I just want to be cut and finally achieve those hidden abs!

Does anyone have suggestions on vegan amino acids? It seems really hard to find one. I went to GNC yesterday and all they had was whey tabs or Cellucor- which I'm not sure where the aminos are sourced from.

I found ONE on amazon called AminoClear, but it's super expensive. I currently take Vega Performance Protein 2x a day on training days, but I would like to try Fasted Training and need a super low calorie BCAA drink to protect/build my muscles. I'm currently attempting Intermittent Fasting in the form of Lean Gains 16/8.

Has anyone else tried this?
