New and not sure

Hi, I'm Daniel and I'm new to the forum, and new to living healthy.

I'm not a vegan, and I'm not fully vegetarian. I just like eating meat some times. I am making drastic cuts to eat more like a vegetarian, and I feel great. I see the benefits.

I know this isn't "Notquiteavegetarianbodybuilding.com" but this seems to be the place to get most of my questions answered. So I hope I'm still welcome here.

I'm from hollywood CA, 6 1/2 Army veteran, film industry working man.

My plan is to turn my life into a healthy one. No more processed garbage, more fruits and veggies, and way less meat. In turn, I expect to lose weight and tone up.

I'm turning into a gym junkie. 5 days a week, green drinks in the morning, and some times for dinner also.

I have only one questions right now. Since I started eating clean last month, I have so much more energy, and I'm barely sore after a lifting session. I'm working to failure on every set (like the 12 week program that I'm on say to), and I'm only slightly sore. I also leave the gym with energy. I can't seem to burn out with out spending hours in the gym. Is this normal?

Haha it doesn't sound like you have a problem at all, sounds like things are going great! The answer is yes many people feel like they have more energy and it is proven that you recover faster from workouts if you eat non or even just decrease animal products, its a very common positive effect.

Oh and you are totally welcome here. Its a very open-minded group, and it sounds like you want to and are trying to eating healthier which is great. I hope you find this site helpful. I would definitely check out the training journals section if you havent already, some people keep some really detailed logs. The recipe section might be interesting for you as well, if you are interested in expanding on your diet.
