Hi from Sydney, Australia!

I'm just introducing myself.
I'm a performer, I'm about to turn 50 (eeeeek) and I'm taking charge of my health now.
I lost 15 kilos on the Atkins diet but after my husband killed himself in 2012 I realised I could no longer live with any form of cruelty in my life and because I cannot be sure my meat is clean and humanely slaughtered, I've become a vegetarian who eats free range eggs (from chickens I've personally met!) and I'm also 90%raw.
I've been struggling with my diet and my fitness regime has been shot to hell so I'm looking to get into a better nutrition routine and repair my body so I can return to my gym work, which I love.
I'm having my thyroid tested and suspect my adrenals are shot too which some suggest means laying off the gym altogether but that would actually stress me more, I think!
Anyway, hello to you all and I'm looking forward to learning as much as I can so I can improve myself.

Sorry to hear about your husband. Glad you found our site, I'm sure it will be helpful. Robert Cheeke's book and any of Brendan Braziers books are good recommendations for you to check out.
