Vegan runner from Canada

#1 Postby markc7 » Wed Jul 19, 2006 7:19 pm

Hi folks,

I heard about this site on VeganFreaks, and thought I'd check it out. I've been vegan for a bit longer than one year.

I mainly do strength training to improve my running and avoid injury. I am not training for anything at the moment, because less than two months ago I finished my first 100 mile race. I usually do two or three ultramarathons each year, as well as a couple of shorter races.

Anyways, that's me in a nutshell. Looking forward to reading the forums.

Welcome!

Great to have another runner on here. We have a handful of competitive runners, including Brendan Brazier (also from Canada) on the forum.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

Thanks for joining our group!

Welcome, markc7! There are a number of endurance athletes at this site, too. I use strength training to enhance my fitness as a cyclist as well as to just look better overall and find the tips here useful and discussions engaging. Vegan Bodybuilding is also a very fun place just to hang out!
